I added these new earrings and brooch a while back, but never gave them a proper post. Since I haven’t been updating my blog as much lately, I figured now would be a good time to show off some of my new industrial jewelry. There is much more coming that I have not listed yet. I hope you like them!

“I thought love was about trying and fighting and holding on through good or bad but… love is about letting go too.” I just wrote that to my friend in chat. It’s sad, but sometimes it’s in that goodbye that you see that love is still there, even if you wish it wasn’t.

Friday Night at the Manhattan Supper Club, my sister played piano for the club on her birthday and brought some friends to also play and sing. They did a cover of Hallelujah that was… brilliant and amazing and has been in my head all day.

Anyone that knows me well enough may be surprised to hear that I sang along for a few songs. Kimmy’s friend was on piano for a while and wanted us to sing with him, so I actually did, even though I was around real singers. I may not be great, but I can at least sing on key I guess. Maybe.

It’s my big sister’s birthday today! I would like to take this time to be thankful for the fact that she was brought into this world. She is the oldest of us 3 and is certainly aways a big sis to me, helping me out whenever possible, but still retaining her rights to bully and tease me. Hooray for Kimmy!

It was a fun run. I had an amazing time, I loved the entire experience, and the best part of all was knowing that the kids had a great time and have a greater interest in game design because of the course. One of my students even said he’d miss me. Awww!

I go back to Orange in just a few days now. I’ll miss Pittsburgh and the beautiful view from Grandview. I took that photo just last night! I’ll miss the red and gold leaves of the plentiful trees - seasons and natural plant life are both strangers to Orange. It’s time for a new chapter in my life though. I’m back on the job hunt and not sure where it will take me this time around, but I sure hope it’s somewhere good.

I hope next year is better. I should maybe not have favorite holidays anymore so that they cannot be lonely and disappointing? Oh well. Hope you all have fun candy and treats and costumes and things to do.

I often enjoy reading articles about relationships and communication between men and women, so I thought that maybe I should start sharing some of the finds that I think are interesting. The article quoted below tries to define reasons that relationships fail and fade away, and then gives you a little info about why it’s good to move on. This one in particular stood out to me.

I’m having trouble though figuring out which of these options apply to my most recent experiences. I definitely feel familiar with some of these examples, but I guess some relationships are not so easy to categorize and define.

Went to the Monroeville Mall Zombie Walk on Sunday with my roommates and friends. Good times. The fake blood stained my clothes but i’m glad I got to do it.

After the event, we got cleaned up and watched Dawn of the Dead. PS - I haven’t been posting pics of the groups i’ve gone with because I am not sure if they would want their zombified faces all over my blog. Sorry if you’re bored of seeing just me, but I have permission to show me!

I cannot even tell you how much lame drama has been going on in my life lately, distracting me from the want to do… anything at all. I’m alive and goin on though of course. I’m just… not as happy and hopeful lately, and far more completely dissappointed in human beings. I thought it’d be appropriate at this time to post happy things.

That’s me back in Orange. My sister, her husband, and I made a last minute run to Disneyland on my last night out there. We had about 5 minutes till the park closed and her husband and I ran to the Haunted Mansion and made it in time to get a ride. First time i’d seen it all done up for Halloween, and the last chance I would’ve had this year. Afterwards, we saw Quarantine in Downtown Disney and were pretty upset. The camera was so annoyingly, unnecessarily shaky that my sister and I both actually felt ill.

Here’s a pic of me from Wednesday, at the Strip District in Pittsburgh. That hoodie is SO not enough to handle the Pittsburgh cold! My roommates and I went out there to enjoy their day off and shop at the Asian markets to pick up food supplies. We ate some chicken on a stick from a street vendor and went into a store to each get a bottle of Ramune to drink.

That’s how it looks when i’m walking back from delivering orders to the post office. I’d be dying here if I didn’t have my “Reno Coat” as I call it. I got that coat from a thrift store to survive the winter in Reno. Nowadays it keeps me slightly less freezing on walks up and down Grandview. I was SO thankful that I had that trip back to Orange so that I could pick up this coat. I was warned by all my friends that Pittsburgh would be cold, but my dumb little So Cal mind just didn’t understand how serious they were! Despite all the bad things in life, that walk across Mt. Washington to the post office and back makes me happy. I like that it doesn’t feel like i’m walking so far because the view is so pretty. I like that it makes the time go by in a productive manner.

Sorry I haven’t been updating. I’m busy and blah. BLAH BLAH BLAH. Just… wanted to say hi in case anyone was actually checking in.
