Business Info: Kieutie Pie became a registered business on October 31, 2007. My cousin saw the jewelry I made as a hobby and encouraged me to open my own shop. I started selling jewelry at kieutiepie.etsy.com and continue to sell handmade items there even though I branched out and built this website to sell jewelry. My Etsy shop will still be the place to go for my one of a kind handmade creations and custom orders.I chose the name Kieutie Pie because it had my name in it, but it was actually originally a name given to cute cartoony vector characters that I made in Photoshop. When it was time to settle on a business name, I decided to just go with it. Luckily, the domain name was available. __________________________________________ Personal Info: My name is Kieu Le and I'm a Game Art & Design major at the Art Institute Online scheduled to graduate in June 2008. Fascinated by robots, the industrial revolution, hardware, and some industrial music, I decided to create jewelry to match the ideas in my head. From then on, I just started to add more and more new items, no matter how silly or crazy the idea. I started making cute toys and keychains out of felt, learned a little pyrography and embroidering, and even sold a couple of customizable tic tac toe games. I also started offerring graphic design services and love to design business cards in particular. Luckily, others seem to love these ideas and I've made many wonderful friends. I love what I do!My favorite color is blue, I love cupcakes and other nicely packaged small portioned sweet things. I have a dog, cat, and fish and love them all dearly. I don't dance, so I rarely go out to clubs to be honest. In fact, most of my time is spent doing homework, crafting, researching, or just keeping busy around the web. __________________________________________ Other Projects: I've started up a couple of projects aside from Kieutie Pie as well. I manage the online aspects of my father's website (levankhoa.com) and sales as well as my own online stores. I started an art blog called 4girlgamers.com to encourage a couple of friends and myself to create art to share with the web on a regular basis. I also run the blog Etsy Addicts which is comprised of a few Etsy sellers and buyers who share their favorite finds on Etsy and help to promote new sellers. |
